Every hurricane produces its own special form of disaster for everyone. Each hurricane is memorable for one or two little things that just wont ever get fixed. Our phone box was ripped off our house (which for all who want to know about repairs- is doing well) and the phone company has no intention of fixing it before they get to everyone else in northwest Florida. Soooo my mom, knowing that she could not take my cell phone indefinitely, got her own cell phone!
Now you have to understand that my mother, God bless her, is the most tech deficient and openly cell phone illiterate human on the face of the earth. Teaching her how to use it is something like a happy blend fun and torture. But she now calls me about 8 times a day just to tell me where she is and what she is doing. Its really cute.

And at least for today i am out of things to say- but i have a question about something political for yall that know more than me (so like everyone) - what the crap is up with this open border policy that congress is voting on soon- i mean couldn't that be kinda a bad thing? Especially if we let everyone who wants to register as illegal aliens and get social security? Maybe i misunderstood it all but if i didn't could someone please tell me how all this got to congress...

Neighbors...

For the last few years my aunt and uncle have lived in a quiet little gated community on a kid friendly little street in a cute little town that actually is named Niceville. I have visited and stayed and even worked for them the entire time they have lived here, and have watched the neighbors come and go. They have had many different people, all friendly in their own way, and all a little strainge in their own right. There was for a while a retired navy captian and his wife. (they lived in the first house on the corner and he had a porthole window upstairs on the street side) Nextdoor to our house (our's being the house that my aunt lives in with her family, and about 25 weeks a year ..i live here too... all the gate guards know my name) there was a lesbian life partnership, then some other recluse couple that i never ever see ...ever. Come to think of it i dont ever see cars come or go. Across the street diagonally there is a sweet young couple with two little kids. They are great, and besides my family they have managed to stay the longest that i know of. Directly across the street (i know this is long but there is a point) is a house that was built by a rich couple with one kid they spoile rotten- they moved and then a wonderful nutty family with like 8 or 9 kids (4 grown) moved in They were wonderful but had to move away as well with many tears shed by them and my cousins. The house across the street is now being rinted by 4 airforce lutinits (i dont know how to spell it) they are all single and cute. My aunt and uncle hate it. (but i cant see the problem with it...haha)
But the point and purpose of all this introduction is to complain about the worst neighbors that i have ever encountered or heard about. These people next door (on the other side) could best be defined as mooching, leach-like, sweet to your face, but distainful behind a thin little sheet of a fake smile, rude, obnoxious, mooching, moochie faces! Yes it is child like of me to rant in such a way- but honestly when they invite themselves to every barbeque- and fish for invitations for their kids to have dinner every time they want to go out- after we have kept their bratty little boy every day this week and fed him 15 times for free- i am intiteled to gripe a bit. My aunt has many stories, and when a new one happens i will write about it cause they are good! For instance.... The mom of this family happened to walk into the house one evening when my family and my aunts family were having a "family" birthday party for a sibling of mine and a cousin. The mom sees cake (and sence her boy had uninvitedly been playing all day) she fixes him a piece of cake, fixes herself a piece of cake and then sees that there are about four pieces of cake left and then tells us to wait for a moment while she getts her daughter. My mom and aunt exchainge looks but she is already out the door (leaving her son to his second helping of icecream as he trys to opean one of my cousins presents) The next thing we know she returns with her daughter, daughter's friend, husband and get this...dog! they all enjoy the last of our cake (compleetly uninvited and not really encouraged in any way to stay) They (all of their family) at the house and join in on the party until long after my parents and siblings went home. I stayed the night that night and they didnt leave until 11:30. Is this normal for annoying neighbors? I think what i love the best about all of it is that they get mad when the slightest thing happens- like my cousins leaving sidewalk chalk in their driveway. Classic isnt it?

Man it has been a long and full couple of weeks! Last week i spent as a counselor at Blue Lake Camp. It was a truly amazing experience and God rocked my world. Dude I cant even describe it. So i wont try. This week though has just been crazy tough. But even with this storm coming i know where my strength comes from. Basically that ensures me a good night's sleep tonight- and one foot in front of the other tomorrow. Woo hoo! And that's all i need out of life right now (that and three dollars to get back over the toll bridge)
I am sad though. Today is a sad day. Weave (a friend of mine) had loaned me an electric guitar... A beautiful ibanez rg with a rose floyd. The loan started over 3 years ago but still I am going to miss it. Indefinitely has an end i guess, and i am kinda almost glad to give it back. Cause then i can ask for my own for my birthday :)
anyone else get de-ja vouz? ... or a glitch in the matrix? cause i don't know that French word either. Sorry everyone i am rambling but i am on enough caffeine to make me forget that the guy of my dreams did not call back and it is not bothering me right? right! Everyone out there- thanks for reading. To my family- all of you- I miss you all terribly and if my phone was not about to die, I would call you and tell you all how much I love you. Have a wondrous evening- go look at the stars marvel for a while they are amaizing
